Getting a Convincing Jay-Z Deepfake
Match the head angle to the locked source
The locked Jay-Z source is a clear, front-facing portrait. If your target is turned three-quarters away, the model has to invent a cheek it has not seen, and invented geometry is what people notice. Pick a target whose head angle is at least in the same neighborhood.
Expression is the second tell. An open-mouth laugh on a closed-mouth target produces a jaw that does not agree with the lips. If the target is speaking, accept that a still portrait will fight you and raise mask blur rather than expecting a perfect mouth interior.
Let the target set the resolution
The Jay-Z source is sharp enough. Extra megapixels on a 720p target do not survive the downsample. What helps is a target where the face occupies a decent share of the frame, plus face enhance if the clip is soft.
Turning on both enhancers costs time, not extra credits. Leave them off only when you want the grain of the original preserved.
Change one thing when it looks wrong
A hard seam on a Jay-Z deepfake means the mask is tight — raise blur. A face that looks pasted on means the lighting gap was too wide, and the fix is a different target, not a different celebrity. If the tool grabs the wrong person in a crowd, switch the selector to reference mode.
On video, flicker usually means the detector score is too high for the motion blur. Lower it one step. Change one parameter per attempt.
